Especially for people who may have a hard time renting from an apartment complex. I think that if some of the former employees trolling the glassdoor reviews daily put half as much effort into their job when they were here they might still be here. Not everyone was laid off, but if I was, trashing HavenBrook's name to interviewees would be the furthest thing from my mind. She answered all my questions and responded promptly to each email with any concern or update that I needed. My realtor Mr. Troy Wilson is by far a wonderful human being that actually listens and caters to the client's needs, hopes, and requests. HavenBrook has a huge asset to the company and I say with my deepest gratitude Mr. Joseph DeFini. Mr. DeFini has exceeded my expectations on what management should be. We had a little bump in the road with the water company, but Mr. DeFini showed nothing but caring respect and problem solving qualities.
The company cares more about money and KPIs then it does the actual residents. Also, they do not pay out PTO once you leave the company which was very disappointing. Can be a very stressful job with little recognition for your hard work. Every since the first month I moved in this their property the basement floods constantly. It has been communicated with me from rotor rooter that the property has underground issues in which has been discussed with the local management. Instead of them properly fixing the issue they continue to send rotor rooter then charge me with the fees for the visit.

In this instance every time the plumber has gone out, there has been an excess of toilet paper clogging the line and the most recent visit uncovered feminine hygiene products clogging the line. A chargeback to the resident is necessary when the drain is clogged due to items the resident is flushing down the toilet. HavenBrook followed the lease guidelines that the claimant signed at time of move in.
For the first few days no water due to the company failing inspection. Once water was turned on when you flushed the toilet it would come up through the shower drain. The company never made the home move-in ready. The base boards/bathroom were literally missing paint from large spaces. We contacted the company via email multiple times about this concern. Upon breaking our lease due to relocation the company is charging a fee of over $1000 to repaint the home.
I can honestly say that this experience so far has been great and we hope that the rest of the year is as wonderful if all of the employees are as wonderful as Mr. DeFini. When staying at the property leased by Havenbrook homes we made the decision to break our lease.
Had an awesome technician by the name of anthony Jackson to come out. Hope we never have any problems to occur, if so please send him back to us. The entire process was seamless and all the support cast walked us through the application process to the move in. We need to single out Joe and Matt in the Hollywood Office, our special thanks to them. They made sure we got what we needed, when we needed it.
